We think that reading makes us happier and healthier. And we believe that talking about books is one of the best ways to build proper, meaningful connections with other human people. And we feel, quite passionately, that readers need a space on the internet that's as welcoming as a book shop, as cosy as a cafe, and as beautiful as a book.
We
think
Rob was a psychology teacher before turning his mind to harnessing the therapeutic power of stories. He’s paired people around the world to read stories aloud, designed a phone for storytelling in refugee camps, and facilitated readings between primary school kids and care home residents. But his real life goal is to cross the brook behind his house by slack line.
Lucy is an editor and literary translator. She translates from Italian and Spanish, can get by in Japanese, and is currently learning Norwegian on Duolingo. She came to Audrey because she’s convinced, as someone who exclusively read books about pony camp until embarrassingly late in life, of the transformative power of reading decent fiction.
Noga is a designer and Illustrator. She is committed to Audrey’s vision to form healthy and meaningful habits by crafting beautiful and intuitive design solutions. She believes, through mindful design thinking, that Audrey can help people unlock the power of fiction to make them happier and healthier. She is a committed meditator and plays an african thumb piano in her spare time.
Michael is an action and ideas man with ten years experience designing the web for all sorts of businesses. He is passionate about making sure design has a seat at the table in all aspects of a project, and was drawn to Audrey because of the attention paid to beautiful typography and illustration.

Ivan is a developer with a degree in Physics, a background in bookselling, and an obsession with leveraging technology for personal growth. As well as building Audrey’s code, he applies his enthusiasm for productivity and knowledge management to keeping the Audrey world (and the rest of us!) scrupulously well-organised.
Max is a talented code builder, meticulous double-checker, and always thinking about how to create more ethical technology. He believes that the internet will either save the world or usher in the apocalypse (leaning towards the former on good days), and he thinks some of the best connections are forged over a good book or a raging fire pit. That’s why he works for Audrey (he's been promised the fire pit).
We read.
